- What exactly does “solderless” mean? In our 2EDGRK series of solderless pluggable terminal blocks, “solderless” signifies the following: During installation or wiring, the terminal does not require soldering (i.e., no tin soldering, soldering irons, or solder paste are needed). Instead, a reliable connection with the wire is achieved through an internal spring clamp or plug-in clamping mechanism. (Therefore, this refers to a “solder-free assembly process,” not “maintenance-free plugging/unplugging.”)
- Does it allow for tool-free plugging and unplugging? The terminal block features a pluggable design, allowing for easy removal, replacement, or inspection whenever maintenance is required. During standard wiring, it is typically necessary to utilize the terminal’s corresponding actuation/release mechanism (such as a push-button, lever, or locking latch); however, soldering tools are generally not required.
- Are separate wire-crimping or clamping components required? To establish a connection, the wire must first be stripped and then inserted directly into the terminal’s entry port; the internal clamping mechanism within the terminal then automatically secures the connection.
